Every month, the Community of Madrid publishes the schedule for the Conoce tus Leyes course (“Know your Laws”), a free training program aimed at foreign nationals residing in the region. The course is offered through the Centros de Participación e Integración de Inmigrantes (Centres for Participation and Integration of Immigrants (CEPIs)) and has become an essential step for many people applying for residence permits due to extraordinary circumstances (arraigo social or arraigo socioformativo) or seeking to renew their residence authorizations.
You can now access the full schedule for November 2025, including dates, times, and locations for each module of the Conoce tus Leyes program across various CEPIs in the Community of Madrid.

⏺️ Is this course mandatory?
Since May 2024, participation in the Conoce tus leyes program has been mandatory in the Community of Madrid for obtaining the necessary reports in procedures such as arraigo social, arraigo socioformativo, or for the issuance of the integration effort report. This makes the course a key requirement for many individuals looking to regularize or maintain their legal residency in Spain.
⏺️ What does the course include?
Conoce tus Leyes program consists of four training modules designed to help foreign nationals integrate into Madrid’s social and legal framework. The modules cover the following topics:
- Spanish Constitutional Framework
- Tools for Employment Access
- Spanish Immigration Law
- Resources for Social Integration
After completing the four modules, participants receive a diploma that can be submitted as part of administrative procedures such as the arraigo social report, the integration effort report, or residence permit renewals.
⏺️ Who is the course for?
To register for the Conoce tus Leyes course, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be registered (empadronado) in a municipality within the Community of Madrid.
- Have basic Spanish language skills (A1 level).
- Be of working age (between 16 and 65 years old).
- Prove continuous residence in Spain for at least the past two years.
The course is primarily intended for those applying for arraigo social, arraigo socioformativo, or the integration effort report, as well as young adults (18+) who were previously under child protection measures and are now in a regularization or renewal process.
⏺️ Where is the course held?
The program is offered in the CEPIs throughout the Community of Madrid. Registration must be done in person, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 12:00 or from 16:00 to 18:00, at any CEPI.
