Instituto Cervantes publishes CCSE exam results

The Instituto Cervantes has published the results of the CCSE tests (Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain) corresponding to the September 2025 regular session and the special session for non-literate candidates (CCSE-NA). As a reminder, passing the CCSE test is a mandatory requirement for obtaining Spanish nationality by residence.

🚨 Please note that candidates under the age of 18 and those whose legal capacity has been modified by a court decision are not required to take the CCSE test. Additionally, an exemption may be granted by the Ministry of Justice to those who meet certain criteria and can provide supporting documentation. This includes:

– Individuals holding official qualifications obtained in Spain, in Spanish, at a medium or higher level.
– Individuals with a Spanish Secondary Education diploma (ESO).
– Individuals with a certified disability or learning disorder rated at 65% or higher.

It is also possible to request a partial exemption in the case of individuals who are unable to read or write.

In this session, over 29,000 candidates sat for the regular exam, with more than 98% achieving a passing grade. In the adapted session for non-literate candidates, 112 individuals took part, and more than 72% were declared fit.

If you took part in this session, you can now check your results by logging in to the Instituto Cervantes platform using your credentials. The grade review request period is open from October 27 to November 27, 2025. If you wish to request a review of your results, you can do so via the online form available in your private area of the Exams Portal.

Please remember that if you have passed the test, your result will be valid for four years. If you did not pass, you will have the opportunity to retake the exam in future sessions.
