The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published Royal Decree 1022/2025 granting Spanish nationality to 54 children and 117 grandchildren of international brigadiers—men and women who took part in the Spanish Civil War as members of the International Brigades. You can find the Royal Decree below (in Spanish):
This decision is made under Law 20/2022 of 19 October, on Democratic Memory, which in Article 33 provides for the possibility of granting Spanish nationality by naturalisation to the volunteers of the International Brigades and their descendants who can demonstrate a continued contribution to preserving and disseminating their legacy.
