If you’re waiting for your Foreigner Identity Card (TIE), here’s the latest update as of September 5, 2025, with information on the batches currently available for collection at the various National Police Stations across the Community of Madrid, including offices in Madrid city and surrounding municipalities.
TIE cards are printed in batches, each identified by a unique number. When a new batch is ready for collection, it is officially published in the corresponding public list. It’s essential to check whether the batch number shown on your fingerprint receipt has already been listed as available, as you can only collect your card once your batch appears.
This list is updated periodically, usually once a week. We recommend checking it regularly to avoid unnecessary delays and to plan your appointment in advance. At ARC Legal, we share all updates as soon as they are released to make the process easier for you.

⏺️ Where can I find my TIE batch number?
The batch number for your card appears on the receipt you were given at the police station on the day you submitted your fingerprints and documents. The number will look like this: 2025/XXX.
⏺️ What documents do I need to collect my new TIE?
To collect your TIE, you must bring the proper documentation. Here’s what you’ll need on the day of your appointment:
- Original passport: It must be valid. Photocopies or digital versions will not be accepted, as the police will verify your identity using the original.
- Fingerprint receipt: This is the document you received after submitting your fingerprints. It includes your batch number and confirms that you’ve started the TIE process.
- Previous TIE (for renewals only): If you’re renewing your TIE, you must bring your old card—even if it’s expired—so that it can be handed in when collecting the new one.
- Confirmed appointment: TIE collection is by appointment only. Without a confirmed appointment, you will not be allowed into the police station.
💡 Arrive a few minutes early and double-check your documents beforehand. If anything is missing, you may not be able to collect your TIE and will have to reschedule, which could delay the process.
